Conekta is a tech startup on a mission to enable the digital economy in Mexico. Its online platform offers financial products and services to online stores and large-scale businesses.
CONTEXT
The redesign of Conekta’s blog addressed long-standing engagement issues. The goal was to create a blog that was easy to navigate and fast-loading, aligned with the design system we were updating at Conekta.
PROBLEM
The website had low engagement and lead conversion. We needed to improve the user experience and make the website a more useful point of connection with the business.
OUTCOME
We applied design standards that made related articles easier to discover and created clearer pathways between readers and the business. Web traffic increased by 3.1% in 2023.

Opportunity
Create a blog that is fast, clear, and captivating

Low engagement → Clear Blog
The blog should be easy to navigate and visually clear. Articles should be organized with visible category tags.
Low conversion → Fast Blog
The site must be optimized through lightweight images and have a clean appearance without complex animations. Each article should have a contact footer.
Better UX → Captivating Blog
The user interface must align with Conekta's design system, the blog is responsive for any device, and users can easily see the estimated reading time, topic, and category of the article.
Research, Wireframes & Iterations
Considering our business objectives and collaborating with various internal departments, it was decided to implement a blog connected to the website. Subsequently, I explored and researched functional blogs of industry leaders to identify and adopt best practices. Through multiple iterations and the development of mid-fidelity wireframes, we successfully designed the final outcome.

Project Results
The result was a simple, functional blog closely aligned with the brand. Category tags followed the company’s design system, helping readers discover relevant articles and find clear pathways to connect with the business. Web traffic increased by 3.1% in 2023. Explore the blog: conekta.com/blog
